Special Needs Registry Overview

The Dublin Police Services' voluntary Special Needs Registry (SNR) serves as a channel for parents or guardians of community members with special needs to provide first responders with information regarding any assistance those persons may require during an interaction Dublin Police or Alameda County Fire. This service is completely voluntary.  

Who Can Register?

Individuals themselves, parents, or legal guardians may enroll a person of any age with any type of medical condition or disability. Examples include, but are not limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Bipolar Disorder, and Down Syndrome.  

If the registered individual is an adult, who does not provide consent themselves or is unable to provide consent due to their disability, their parent/caregiver must provide legal documentation (conservatorship/court order) to show they have the legal authority to make decisions for the individual.  

How to Register

Please complete this FORM and submit it to Dublin Police Services either in person or via email at cshepard@acgov.org. Once submitted, a representative from Dublin Police Services will confirm the registration with you.
