Residential Projects
Residential projects cover a wide array of topics. There are three types of residential projects: alterations, additions, and new construction. Below is a list of handouts and guides for the most common residential projects. The intent is to provide guidance of the permitting and plan review process for each project. Some documents also specify exactly what is required for building permit approval. Documents are categorized by audience; however, a developer/contractor is not necessarily required for all projects. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide all required documents during plan review, regardless of audience type. Please contact the Building & Safety Division with questions at 925-833-6620.
