The Military Banner Program is now accepting applications for 2026.

Established in 2018, the program honors local veterans and active-duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces who have a connection to Dublin. To date, 81 service members have been recognized through the program with a banner displayed along Dougherty Road near Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (Camp Parks).

The nomination period is open through Sunday, March 15.

Banners are installed each year prior to Memorial Day and remain on display through Veterans Day in November. After removal, banners are cleaned and presented to the honoree or their sponsor at a Dublin City Council meeting in December.

All City of Dublin facilities will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr., Day.

Emergency service personnel will remain on duty. Waste collection and street sweeping schedules will not change.

PG&E will be conducting pavement restoration work at the intersection of Dublin Boulevard and Village Parkway on Saturday, January 17, as part of its Regulator Station project.

Motorists should expect temporary lane closures and potential delays throughout the day.

Traffic control measures, including flaggers, will be in place to help minimize disruptions. If needed, work may extend into Sunday.

The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program is returning to the Dublin Senior Center for the 2026 tax season. With more than 20 years of service in the Tri-Valley, AARP Tax-Aide will offer free, professional tax preparation beginning Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

This free service is open to adults of all ages, with a primary focus on seniors and taxpayers with low to moderate income. No AARP membership is required. All tax returns are prepared by IRS-certified volunteers, filed electronically at no cost with the IRS and California Franchise Tax Board, and participants receive a paper copy for their records.

When: Wednesdays, February 4 – April 8, 2026Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.Appointments: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (many straightforward returns completed in as little as 45 minutes)

The City of Dublin is now accepting vendor applications for the upcoming Red, White, and Blue Backyard Bash, a community-wide festival honoring America’s Semi-quincentennial in true “New American Backyard” style. This milestone event will feature live entertainment, community competitions, family activities, food, and an expanded vendor marketplace—and we want you to be part of it!

While the summer season is over, there's still plenty of swimming opportunities available at The Wave. Recreation swimming is for all ages and is the ideal time for youth and families to come and enjoy our fantastic facility and all that it has to offer.  Recreation swimming will take place in The Wave natatorium (indoor pool) on Saturdays and Sundays, from Saturday, October 4, 2025, to Sunday, April 26, 2026. 

• All spectators must pay an admissions fee to enter the facility
• Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied inside the facility at all times by a paying adult at least 18 years of age
• No outside food or drinks allowed inside the facility, with the only exception being water
• Bags will be checked at the door upon entry and re-entry
• No glass, coolers, chairs or tables allowed
• No floatation devices allowed, with the only exception being a Coast Guard Approved lifejacket.  

Recreation swimming will not take place on October 25; December 20, 21, 27 & 28, 2025; February 7, 2026; and March 14 & 15, 2026.

Admission is $6.00 for residents and $8.00 for non-residents; under two years old, $3 for residents and $4 for non-residents (pay upon entry).  Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older.
