Government Accountability Act Ballot Measure

On November 7, 2023, the City Council voted to place a ballot measure on the November 5, 2024, General Municipal Election ballot. The Ballot measure asks the following question:

“GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY ACT. Shall the Dublin Municipal Code be amended to prohibit councilmembers and commissioners from accepting gifts from lobbyists and city contractors; prohibit lobbyists from sitting on City commissions; impose a combined term limit of 12 years for the Mayor and/or City Councilmembers, while retaining existing term limits for the current Mayor and City Councilmembers; and require posting of all City contracts on the City’s website for public review?”

Arguments and Rebuttals
Direct Arguments are due to the City Clerk by August 2, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.  Direct arguments shall not exceed 300 words and shall not be signed by more than five persons. 

Rebuttal arguments are due to the City Clerk by August 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.  Rebuttal arguments shall not exceed 250 words and shall be signed by not more than five persons.
