[ARCHIVED] Dublin Pride Week Poster and Essay Contests Now Open

All Dublin students in grades K-12 are encouraged to participate in the annual Dublin Pride Week Poster & Essay Contests. The contests are a project of the Dublin Pride Week Committee and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, Dublin/San Ramon chapter.  The theme this year is, "Our City, Our Pride."  Winning entries will be posted in the Dublin Civic Center lobby during the months of May and June. All prize winners will be recognized at a Dublin City Council Meeting in June 2025.

Essay Contest Details:

  • The essay may be a maximum of 250 words for grades K-3.
  • The essay may be a maximum of 500 words for grades 4-12.
  • The essay may be handwritten or typed on a computer.
  • Each essay must include:
    1. Student’s First and Last Name
    2. School Name
    3. Teacher Name 
    4. Grade
    5. Student/Guardian Contact Information (Name, Email, Phone Number)

Poster Contest Details:

  • Maximum Poster Size is 11"x17".
  • Entry Categories are K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
  • Work must be an original drawing. Traced pictures are not allowed.
  • Each poster must include:
    1. Student’s First and Last Name
    2. School Name
    3. Teacher Name 
    4. Grade
    5. Student/Guardian Contact Information (Name, Email Address, Phone Number)

Prizes:

  • The Grand Prize winner will receive a $100 gift certificate.  
  • The First Prize winner in each entry level category will receive a $25 gift certificate.
  • The Second Prize winner in each entry level category will receive a $15 gift certificate.
