2025-26 Holiday Closure
City of Dublin Office Closures: December 24, 2025 - January 2, 2026
Offices will reopen on Monday, January 5
The City of Dublin is implementing a holiday closure for non-public safety City services from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026. Police and Fire services will not be affected by this closure.
Emergency personnel will remain on duty. Please call 9-1-1 if you experience an emergency. For non-emergencies, please call 925-462-1212.
The City’s 2025-26 Fall/Winter Activity Guide and the online portal for activity, program, and recreation opportunities, DublinRecGuide.com, is available for online registration during the holiday closure.
The City’s online portals for business licenses and permits will remain accessible during the holiday closure. Permit applications may be submitted through the Citizen Self-Service Portal, and business license applications and renewals can also be submitted online. Please note that applications received during the closure will be processed once regular business hours resume on January 5, 2026.
Public Records Requests can be made via the city’s NextRequest portal. Public Records Act requests received during this closure period will be considered received on January 5, 2026.
Responses will also be issued starting on January 5, 2026, for requests submitted prior to the closure with deadlines within this timeframe.
Code Enforcement issues can be submitted through the City's "See, Click, Fix" online portal.
Holiday closures will be observed on:
- Wednesday, December 24, 2025 (Christmas Eve)
- Thursday, December 25, 2025 (Christmas Day)
- Friday, December 26, 2025
- Monday, December 29, 2025
- Tuesday, December 30, 2025
- Wednesday, December 31, 2025 (New Year's Eve)
- Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Year's Day)
- Friday, January 2, 2026
City of Dublin offices will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026.

- Fire Services & Prevention
- Police Services
The following City departments will be closed during the holiday break:
City Administration, City Attorney's Office, City Clerk's Office, Communications, Community Development, Economic Development, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, Parks and Community Services, and Public Works
** For non-emergency Police matters or emergency Public Works matters, please call (925) 462-1212.
**For Building and Public Works Permits - The City’s online portal for permits will be available during the closure. Please visit the Citizen Self-Service Portal.
**Building inspections will be ongoing for those scheduled through our online portal. Please visit Citizen Self-Service Portal for information on how to schedule your inspections.
**Public Works Inspections are not available during the holiday closure.
**For Code Enforcement - Please submit information for code enforcement review through the City’s Fix It Dublin! online portal.
