Flag Retirement Box

The City of Dublin has recently installed a Flag Retirement drop box at the Dublin Camp Parks Military History Center, located just outside of the main gate checkpoint at Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (PRFTA).

For those who love to regularly fly the American Flag in front of their home or place of business, it does not take long for the flag to become worn or faded over time.  Once the flag is no longer fit for flying, it should be respectfully retired in a dignified way.

While the Boy Scouts of America and many veterans organizations will take retired flags for disposal, the new drop box at PRFTA will make it easier for residents to drop off retired flags.

The flag box retirement program is generously supported by the American Legions, Post 237.
