Choosing the right location for your business is important. Prior to making a financial commitment to a site, be sure to verify that your business complies with the zoning for that site. This includes confirming that your business is a permitted use and that there is enough parking to support your business based on zoning requirements. Planning Staff are available to assist you with this information. You can also follow this three-step process to get started:
- The first step is to check the zoning for the site using the City’s interactive mapping tool. If your site is located in a Planned Development (PD) Zoning District, you will need to consult with a Planner regarding use types and parking requirements.
- Determine if your business is a permitted use based on the zoning. A list of use types and zoning districts can be found in Chapter 8.12 of the Dublin Zoning Ordinance. We’ve got resources to help you understand the requirements if your use requires a Zoning Clearance (ZC), Minor Use Permit (MUP) or Conditional Use Permit (CUP).
- Verify the parking requirements for your use type and confirm if there is enough parking at the site to support your use. Parking requirements can be found in Chapter 8.76 of the Zoning Ordinance.
When in doubt, contact a Planner for assistance.
