Participate in the Dublin Energy Challenge and Help Raise Funds for Friends of the Dublin Library.
The City of Dublin and Energy Upgrade California in Alameda County have launched the Dublin Energy Challenge, a new initiative encouraging residents to evaluate home energy usage while giving back to the local community. From October 15 through January 31, Dublin residents who want to take control of energy use in their homes can sign up for the free Home Energy Analyzer and help the Dublin Community raise up to $1,000 for Friends of the Dublin Library. Residents are also eligible to receive a $25 gift card to local hardware stores through random monthly drawings.
The Home Energy Analyzer is a free online tool that allows a resident to monitor home energy use and provides specific tips to make a home more comfortable. Signing up for the Home Energy Analyzer is an easy first step residents can take on their path to saving energy and money.
Dublin residents can learn more about the Dublin Energy Challenge at the Home Energy Efficiency workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Dublin Library, 200 Civic Center Plaza. The workshop will feature a giveaway of energy efficiency products and homeowners can bring their PG&E bill to sign up for the Home Energy Analyzer on-site. To RSVP for the Home Energy Efficiency workshop, visit DublinEnergyWorkshop.eventbrite.com or call 510-891-6554.
