The City of Dublin is actively seeking candidates for two volunteer positions within the Parks and Community Services Department.
The first position is a City Historian. The person selected will serve as a public advocate and researcher in matters pertaining to Dublin’s history. Candidates for City Historian must be a resident of Dublin or the descendent of Dublin family, be age 18 or older, be a published author or willing to publish, be willing to serve as a resource to the Heritage and Cultural Arts Division, and possess knowledge of the City and its history, as demonstrated through writing and research.
The second position is a Poet Laureate. The person selected for this position will serve as a public advocate for the appreciation and advancement of the literary arts for the City of Dublin. Candidates for Poet Laureate must be a resident of Dublin or work in Dublin, be age 18 or older, and be a published poet or be willing to publish poetry.
Both the City Historian and Poet Laureate are volunteer positions and will serve a two-year term. Interested applicants for either position may apply by submitting an application form and related supplemental documents.
