On Wednesday, November 10, the City of Dublin's Youth Advisory Committee will hold a free Youth Mental Health Forum, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., at the Shannon Community Center.
The event strives to help middle and high school students to better manage their emotional well being. Panelists will include school counselors and local therapists that work with youth to provide an overview of mental health issues and coping strategies. The forum may include students that have experienced mental health issues and wish to share their stories. Both students and parents are encouraged to attend.
Discussion topics may include anxiety, depression, isolation, and other mental health struggles that Dublin youth experience. All attendees will receive a resource flyer, and refreshments will be provided following the event.
