The Dublin Senior Center will host a free Clipper card signup event for those age 65 and older on Wednesday, August 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eligible applicants must bring a completed application form and proof of age to receive the card. Clipper is the Bay Area’s all-in-one transit card administered by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
A BART customer service representative will be on site to process applications and answer questions. In addition to the standard 62.5% BART fare discount, the agency is offering an additional 50% off promotion for the month of September. Please note that there will be no balance on the Clipper card until you load money online or in person at a BART station. No other Clipper products (i.e., Youth Clipper cards, RTC card, etc.) will be processed at this event. Applicants who have a disability or are 65 years of age or older are encouraged to apply for the Senior Clipper card.
In addition to BART, Senior Clipper cards can be used on any participating public transit operator, including Wheels Bus and County Connection.
