Dublin Police Services invites students, ages 14-18, to apply to be a part of its annual week-long Youth Academy, taking place June 14-18, 2021. Today, June 8, at 5:00 p.m., is the application deadline for this free program, which is designed for students who have an interest in criminal justice. Taught by law enforcement personnel, the Youth Academy offers participants the opportunity to learn about specific elements of law enforcement including:
- Bomb Squad Unit
- Crime Prevention/Community Policing
- Crime Scene Investigations
- Gang Identification and Prevention
- Regional Training Center
- K9 Unit
Those interested can complete an online application or pick up a paper application at Dublin Police Services at 6361 Clark Avenue, Dublin. Students will be required to pass a background check and parental/guardian consent is required.
