[ARCHIVED] Dublin Police Recognize the 32nd Anniversary of the Abduction of Ilene Misheloff

On January 30, 1989, 13-year-old Ilene Misheloff was kidnapped while walking home from Wells Middle School in Dublin.  Each year, on the anniversary of her abduction, a memorial walk and service are held in her honor.  Ilene’s family, friends, and members of the community meet to follow the path Ilene was taking that day to ensure she will always be remembered.  Due to current health restrictions, the walk cannot be held this year, the 32nd anniversary of her disappearance.

Instead, the public is invited to visit a webpage devoted to information about Ilene's disappearance, www.dublin.ca.gov/ilene.  Messages from llene's father, Mike Misheloff, and Dublin Police Chief Garret Holmes are also posted.  The investigation into Ilene’s kidnapping continues in the hope that she will one day return home safely to her family.

Anyone with information regarding Ilene Misheloff’s disappearance should contact Dublin Police Sergeant Alan Corpuz at (925) 833-6670.  All tips will remain anonymous.
