Construction is Underway for Two New Parks!

The City of Dublin has completed the design process for two new neighborhood parks in the Francis Ranch development. These parks, now under construction, are comprised of two separate parcels, each approximately 5.5 acres, totaling 11 new acres of parkland.

Dublin's Two New Neighborhood Parks have been named!

An initial survey was held from Friday, May 23, through Friday, June 13. Survey participants were able to suggest up to three names per park.  

A second survey was open inviting the community to vote on a shortlist of name pairings received from the first survey, for the northern and southern parks.  That survey was open from October 9 - October 26, 2025. 

The Parks and Community Services Commission recommended a final name for each park, with City Council making the official decision to name the Northern Park, Poppy Meadow Park and the Southern Park, Wild Wind Park.  

Park Design Process

Thank you to those who participated in the community surveys for the design of two new parks! With over 260 survey responses, gathered from August 1 through August 16, 2024, your input will help us create vibrant spaces that meet the needs and aspirations of our community.

A second community survey was released with 165 survey responses received. 

A virtual community meeting was held on September 4, 2024, introducing the project, discussing survey results, and giving the public an opportunity to provide feedback on park amenities and themes.   

PARKS CONCEPT SHOWCASE AT SPLATTER

At the City-wide Splatter event on September 14, 2024, a Parks Concept Showcase gave visitors the opportunity to explore two design concepts for each park. Attendees were invited to vote for their favorite and share feedback on the most fitting park theme.

The Parks and Community Services Commission received a presentation on the two 5.5-acre neighborhood parks planning process and conceptual designs. Public Comment was also taken at the meeting held on Monday, November 18, 2024. The City Council also reviewed and approved the park concepts at its meeting held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
