Manufacturing Day

The Dublin City Council has proclaimed Friday, October 2, 2020 as “Manufacturing Day” in Dublin.

In past years, Dublin has partnered with the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton and educational institutions to host an in-person Tri-Valley Manufacturing Day event including tours of local facilities to celebrate and to raise awareness of our manufacturing businesses and the career opportunities available in the manufacturing industry. However, we could not hold an event this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, we plan to show our support and raise awareness about local manufacturing businesses on the City's official Twitter account during the month of October.

History

The national Manufacturing Day event (held each October) was created to tell the story about the importance of manufacturing in the United States economy.

Manufacturing is a driver of the East Bay economy, contributing 70,000+ jobs, and is an important segment of Dublin’s economy.

Tri-Valley Manufacturing Day is a regional collaborative effort between local educational institutions, participating manufacturing businesses, and the cities of Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton. Our goal is to celebrate modern manufacturing and inspire the next generation of manufacturers.

Thanks to local businesses Logo Boss, AMP Printing, and Kensington Laboratories for participating in previous events.
