Summary of Actions Taken by Dublin City Council on Tuesday, June 21

At its meeting held on Tuesday, June 21, the Dublin City Council took a number of actions.  Below is a summary of actions taken:

  • Welcomed new City of Dublin Staff members, Wendy Lam, Senior Accountant in the Administrative Services Department, and Chloe Partain, Summer Intern in the Community Development Department.
  • Approved the minutes of the June 7, 2022, Regular City Council meeting.
  • Approved the proposals for the “Picture This” temporary public art project.
  • Proclaimed the month of July as Pledge to America's Workers Month. 
  • Approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the Cities of Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton for execution of an update to the 2011 Eastern Alameda County Human Services Needs Assessment. 
  • Approved an agreement with Advanced Integrated Pest Management for pest control services. 
  • Approved the plans and specifications, approving relief of Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc.’s, bid, waiving minor bid irregularities, and awarding a contract to Ghilotti Bros., Inc., for the Dublin Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation Project. The project will include pavement repairs, asphalt concrete overlay, and other roadway improvements on Dublin Boulevard between Scarlett Drive and Hacienda Drive. 
  • Called for a General Municipal Election to be held in the City of Dublin on November 8, 2022, requesting the Alameda County Board of Supervisors consolidate the City of Dublin General Municipal Election with the Statewide General Election, authorize certain procedural matters, and adopt regulations for Candidates for Elective Office pertaining to candidate’s statement and the costs thereof; and affirmed Resolution No. 85-1, Encouraging Candidates to Use the Code of Fair Campaign Practices
  • Approved an agreement with Hinderliter, de Llamas, and Associates, for Sales Tax Analysis, Audit, and Information services, and authorized the examination of sales and use tax records.
  • Approved a Consulting Services Agreement between the City of Dublin and Chandler Asset Management for investment and asset management services.  
  • Approved a second amendment to the agreement with Management Partners for consulting services related to City Council workshops, department specific training, and City Manager and City Attorney reviews. 
  • Adopted an annual update to the Master Fee Schedule as prescribed by the City’s User Fee Cost Recovery Policy. 
  • Issued final approval of the Dublin Senior Living project.
  • Authorized a special designation of General Fund reserves for Fiscal Year 2021-22. 
  • Adopted the Tri-Valley Transportation Development Fee pursuant to the requirements of the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement of the Tri-Valley Transportation Council.
  • Approved the Engineer’s Reports and the levy of special assessments in each of the five assessment districts (street lighting maintenance; landscape and lighting districts; and street lighting district) for Fiscal Year 2022-23. 
  • Approved two resolutions establishing the garbage rates effective July 1, 2022, and establishing the Fiscal Year 2022-23 refuse-related property tax assessment.  The proposed rates include the costs associated with implementing California State Senate Bill (SB) 1383, which created regulations to increase the diversion of organic waste from landfills.
