[ARCHIVED] Join the City of Dublin, Dublin Police, and Alameda County Fire at "National Night Out"

On Tuesday, August 2, the City of Dublin will join thousands of neighborhoods nationwide in celebrating "National Night Out."  Residents are encouraged to gather with neighbors to host family-friendly events to promote safety and celebrate community.

National Night Out was introduced by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) in 1984 and began as a concept for generating greater crime prevention involvement among residents. What started with residents simply leaving their porch lights on soon progressed to something bigger: neighbors organizing cookouts, parades, contests, neighborhood walks, festivals, rallies, and community service events. Today, more than 35 million people and over 15,000 communities participate in National Night Out.

Dublin officials are excited to meet with residents during this year's National Night Out event on August 2, 2022. Those who register their events will receive a visit from Dublin Police, Alameda County Fire, and/or Dublin City officials.  Register your event here. The deadline to register is Friday, July 22, at 5:00 p.m.
