Changes to Fireworks Usage During COVID-19 Pandemic
Fireworks NOT ALLOWED at ANY City Park, Facility, Business Park, School, or Multi-Housing Property
Safe and Sane Fireworks are allowed to be sold in the City of Dublin each year, beginning at noon on June 28 and ending at noon on July 5, by non-profit organizations who meet all of the requirements set forth in the Dublin Municipal Code Chapter 5.24.
Each spring, non-profit organizations interested in having a booth must fill out a current fireworks packet and submit the necessary documents to Dublin City Hall (100 Civic Plaza).
This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those organizations selling Safe and Sane Fireworks must adhere to current public health requirements and social distancing rules.
Also, the City of Dublin will allow Safe and Sane Fireworks to be used ONLY at private residences. No fireworks of any type (including Safe and Sane) are permitted at any Dublin park, City facility, business park, school, or multi-housing property. Those who live in neighborhoods managed by a homeowners association (HOA) should check with the HOA before using Safe and Sane Fireworks.
The City of Dublin has a zero-tolerance policy for illegal fireworks. Those caught using illegal fireworks will be fined the maximum penalties allowed by State law, and could face jail time.
Although deemed safe, users of Safe and Sane Fireworks should follow these safety tips.
