CalCAP EV Charging Station Financing Program
The goal of the California Capital Access Program (CalCAP) Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) Financing Program is to expand the number of electric vehicle charging stations installed by small businesses in California.  The program, funded by the California Energy Commission, provides small business borrowers and lenders incentives to finance electric vehicle charging station equipment acquisition and installation to increase PEV adoption and attract new customers.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has launched a grant funding program called Charge!. The program offers grant funding to offset the cost of purchasing and installing new publicly available charging stations. Awards are made on a first-come first-serve basis so apply today!

EV Charge Network Program:
Businesses that are PG&E electric customers, including Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) and direct access customers could be eligible for the EV Charge Network Program. PG&E covers the cost of make-ready and installation, which is typically 60-80% of the total project cost. Program participants have the option to own the chargers, partially paid for by PG&E, as well as choose the charging equipment from an approved vendor list. The program requires a minimum of 10 EV parking spaces per site. 

PACE Financing for Energy Upgrades:
The Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing program allows property owners to borrow funds to pay for energy improvements, including purchasing and installing Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). Check out the City of Dublin's business incentives for more information. 

PG&E FleetReady Program
In May 2018, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) approved $236 million for PG&E to install make-ready infrastructure that supports medium and heavy-duty electric fleet vehicle charging. Over the next five years PG&E will install infrastructure at 700 sites, driving the adoption of at least 6,500 additional electric fleet vehicles.

Financial Incentives for Clean Fleets

Carl Moyer Program
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is now accepting applications for the Carl Moyer Program (CMP). This program encompasses $60 million in grant funding for 60 million is available for projects that upgrade or replace on-road vehicles, school buses, off-road and agricultural equipment, marine equipment and locomotives.

Clean Fleets Program
The Clean Fleets Program is an incentive program that offers grant funding to help offset a portion of the cost of purchasing or leasing new light-duty zero-emissions vehicles for fleets that operate within the Bay Area Air Quality Management District ’s jurisdiction. In fiscal year ending 2019, up to $5 million is available and will be awarded to qualifying projects on a first-come, first-served basis.
