We include music, dance, and other forms of entertainment at our special events, and present performances at the Emerald Glen Amphitheater and at Dublin High School Center for Performing Arts and Education. Browse our calendar for upcoming performances.

Chinese New Year Celebration -
Saturday, February 1, 7:00 p.m.
Dublin High School Center for Performing Arts and Education

APAPA and City of Dublin present a Chinese New Year Celebration on February 1, at 7:00 p.m., at the Dublin High School's Center for Performing Arts and Education. This event was sold out last year with an attendance over 500.

Lunar New Year is one of the most important and festive holidays in China and many of the Asian countries such as Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.  It marks the beginning of the traditional lunisolar calendar.  This year belongs to the Rat, the first of the 12 Chinese Zodiac Animals. According to the Chinese zodiac, 2020 is the Year of the Metal Rat, a year of new beginnings and renewals. The Metal Rat Year is going to be a strong, prosperous, and lucky year. Everyone will show determination regarding their goals, aspirations, and even their hobbies. This is a great year for founding and evolving.

To celebrate such a festive occasion, APAPA Tri-Valley Chapter (Asian and Pacific Americans for Public Affairs) is honored to co-sponsor with the city to host a New Year Celebration of the Lunar New Year of 2020.  There will be exciting performances of traditional arts including festive Traditional dances, mesmerizing Vocal ensembles, stunning Kung Fu, Lion Dances, Comedian, and Choir.  Prepared to be dazzled and entertained.  These performances are brought to you all by local talented performers, from children to seniors.   Let’s share the festivities, let’s experience the richness of the Asian culture, let’s kick start another year of happiness and good fortune for the Year of the Rat.

Purchase general admission tickets for $10 each here.
