Seconds Count: Stay Informed!
The City of Dublin has partnered with Alameda County on a new emergency notification system, "AC Alert," powered by EverBridge. It is an ultra high-speed telephonic communication service used for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone some or all targeted areas of the City in The system is capable of dialing thousands of phone numbers per hour. It then delivers our recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making several attempts to connect to any number. Examples of times when the AC Alert system could be utilized include:
- Bomb threats
- Chemical spills
- Drinking water contamination
- Evacuation notices and routes
- Fires or floods
- Gas leaks
- Hostage situations
- Missing persons
- Utility outages
- Other emergency incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for protection of life
