AC Alert Information

Seconds Count: Stay Informed!

The City of Dublin has partnered with Alameda County on a new emergency notification system, "AC Alert," powered by EverBridge.  It is an ultra high-speed telephonic communication service used for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone some or all targeted areas of the City in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action (such as a boil-water notice, missing child, or evacuation notices).   Contact information for landlines within the community is provided to AC Alert through an agreement with AT&T; however, if you no longer have a landline phone at your home, you must register your mobile devices and e-mail addresses with AC Alert in order to receive notifications.

The system is capable of dialing thousands of phone numbers per hour. It then delivers our recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making several attempts to connect to any number. Examples of times when the AC Alert system could be utilized include:

  • Bomb threats
  • Chemical spills
  • Drinking water contamination
  • Evacuation notices and routes
  • Fires or floods
  • Gas leaks
  • Hostage situations
  • Missing persons
  • Utility outages
  • Other emergency incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for protection of life
Note: This system will only be used for emergency purposes only.  Your private information will not be shared or sold to any other vendor or organization.

Forming Partnerships to Keep You Safe

The Fire Department offers Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training to citizens and community groups. This training course can teach you and your neighborhood how to respond to a major disaster.
