Thanks to one of the newest Services offered by the Tri-Valley Housing Opportunity Center (TVHOC), as part of President Obama's comprehensive Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan (HASP), you may be eligible for a special Making Home Affordable loan modification or refinance, to reduce your monthly payments and help you keep your home.

If you are eligible for the loan modification or refinance program, a TVHOC counselor will work with you to compile an intake package for your servicer. The cost for The TVHOC's Mortgage Early Delinquency and Foreclosure Loss Prevention Program is a non-refundable sliding scale fee based on the client’s income.

Housing and Economic Rights Advocates (HERA) is a California statewide, non-profit legal service and advocacy organization who offers information for homeowners who want to protect themselves from foreclosure rescue scams, and homeowners who have been victimized by such scams, to learn about options available to recover their money. HERA offers individual counseling with HERA staff attorneys and/or housing counselors to avoid foreclosure.

Eligible homeowners who are struggling to make their mortgage payments after suffering a job loss may qualify for assistance. Keep Your Home California is now offering the Unemployment Mortgage Assistance program which can help qualified homeowners by paying up to $3,000 per month for as long as six months.
