Frequently Asked Questions
What if it rains?
Nothing! The event is always held rain or shine. The parade, the breakfast, the festival and the Shamrock 5K Fun Run & Walk all happen regardless of the weather.

Can I bring my Irish Wolfhound to the festival?
No. Sorry, but pets are not allowed at the festival. This will be strictly enforced.

Is there a cost to attend the festival?
Admission is free!  There is NO admission charge to attend the Festival or the Parade.
However, the Pancake Breakfast, the Green & White Gala and the Shamrock 5K Fun Run & Walk each require tickets and/or pre-registration. Select the menu options on the left for more information about these activities.

Is there an ATM on site?
Yes. ATM's will be available onsite at the festival. In addition, many of the craft vendors will also accept credit cards.

How can I volunteer for the Festival or Shamrock 5K Fun Run?
Please contact Stephanie Mein at (925) 556-4508 to volunteer at the Festival, or Damian Sandholm at (925) 556-6649 for the Fun Run.

Where is the best seat for the Parade?
You can find a great view of the parade almost anywhere along the route! You can bring your own chairs or blankets or sit on the curb. But, please be considerate of our businesses and neighbors along the route and do not position yourself where you may damage landscaping. You can also find the Parade Grandstand and Announcer located on Amador Valley Blvd next to Oil Changers.  *If you are planning on attending the Festival after the Parade, you may want to park on Clark Avenue since the Parade and the Festival are a short walking distance from this parking area.

Is an ID required to purchase beer or wine?
Yes. All persons must show proper ID in order to purchase alcohol. After showing proper ID, a wristband will be provided and must be worn while consuming any alcohol on the festival grounds.

Is there a shuttle from the Parade to the Festival?
No. But if you are planning on attending both, you may want to park on Clark Avenue, which is just a short walk to both.

Is the Dublin Library open during the Festival?
Yes. However the parking lot adjacent to the Library is not accessible. You can park nearby, though and walk through the Festival to access the Library.  Handicapped parking is available in the Sports Ground lot and a golf cart shuttle can be requested for those needing assistance in getting to the Library.

Is the Library Book Drop available during the Festival?
You won't be able to drive to the regular Book Drop location but a temporary Book Drop will be set-up in the Sports Grounds Parking Lot and volunteers will accept all Library materials during the festival weekend.

Where is handicapped parking?
Handicapped parking is located in the Sports Grounds parking lot. Enter from the east bound lane off of Dublin Boulevard.

When is the Irish Tea Cottage open?
The Tea Cottage is open on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  *There is a minimal charge for guests to enjoy a fresh hot cup of tea served with scones and shortbread.
