Are you ready to save money on Energy Efficiency Improvements for your residence or business?  The City of Dublin wants to make residents and businesses aware of some exciting programs available to help make your abode more comfortable and energy efficient.  We want to encourage everyone to reduce their carbon footprint, and there are some great programs out there to assist you.  (We’re working on reducing our municipal carbon footprint too!) Energy Upgrade California:
Homeowners: If you are thinking about upgrading your home HVAC system or adding insulation, now is a GREAT time to do it!  You can qualify for up to $4,000 in rebates on energy upgrades for HVAC systems, attic insulation, and more.  Take advantage of these energy efficiency rebates soon.

Energy Upgrade California is a new statewide collaboration of governments and utilities. 

The program provides:

  • Up to $4000 in energy efficiency rebates
  • Financing options
  • A robust quality assurance program

Home Energy Efficiency Workshop -Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Dublin
Learn how to get up to $4,000 in rebates on a home energy efficiency upgrade on Saturday, September 29, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dublin Library Community Room, 200 Civic Plaza, Dublin.  RSVP at Dublin Energy Workshop or call (51)) 891-6528.  This event is free and open to all Alameda County homeowners. PG&E has a few programs to assist
income-qualified households:

Energy Savings Assistance Program: PG&E’s Energy Savings Assistance Program provides income-qualified renters and homeowners with easy, free solutions to help manage their energy use and save money on their monthly energy bills. You may be eligible for the following services provided by PG&E: Improvements to your house or apartment including compact fluorescent lights, caulking, showerheads, minor home repair, insulation and more. CARE: California Alternative Rates for Energy is a monthly discount on energy bills for income-qualified households. For more information, call 1-866-743-2273.
For Small and Medium Businesses –  there are several programs out there that can help you save energy and money.  Check back with us for new programs coming out soon. 

PG&E has Energy Saving Rebates and incentives available for businesses.  Go to PG&E business savings and click on your industry type to see the options available.  If you are in the food service industry, PG&E has a food service technology center in San Ramon for PG&E customers.  There are lots of services available for free that can really help your business save money, including training, design assistance to help your restaurant be energy smart, and more.  Check it out at Food Service Technology Center.
