3.1       PUBLIC COMMENTS

At this time, the public is permitted to address the Advisory Committee on non-agendized items.  The Committee must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the posted agenda.  The Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting on the matter.  Any member of the public may contact the Office of the Dublin Senior Center Director relating to the proper procedure of placing an item on a future Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions under which the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).

 

4.                  APPROVAL OF MINUTES

4.1  MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – NOVEMBER 3, 2011

RECOMMENDATION:  Approve minutes.

 

5.                  WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS – NONE  

 

6.                  UNFINISHED BUSINESS - NONE

 

7.         NEW BUSINESS

7.1              WELCOME PACKET UPDATE  [STAFF REPORT]

A sample “Welcome Packet” created by an Advisory Committee subcommittee will be shared for consideration by the Committee Members. The Welcome Packet will help to fulfill the Advisory Committee’s strategic goal to reach out to senior groups and social networks in the community, and to educate residents about various services and resources available for older adults.

RECOMMENDATION:  Receive report and provide feedback.

 

7.2              2012 SPRING BOUTIQUE DRAFT EVENT PLAN  [STAFF REPORT]

The Advisory Committee will receive a draft event plan for the proposed 2012 Spring Boutique event.  The goal of this event is to fulfill the Advisory Committee’s strategic goal to assist Staff with planning and implementing events to attract new patrons to the Senior Center. 

RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and provide feedback.

8.2       OTHER REPORTS

Brief informational only reports from the Dublin Senior Foundation, parks and community services commission liaison, Advisory Committee members and subcommittees, and/or Staff and reports by Committee members related to meetings attended at city expense (AB1234).
