Commerce Con will focus on key business topics related to finance, marketing, business planning and one-on-one counseling. Starting and growing a business can be both inspiring and challenging.     The City of Dublin will participate in the annual nationwide Manufacturing Day event, a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Manufacturing is a driver of the East Bay economy, contributing 70,000+ jobs, and is an important segment of Dublin's economy. The City of Dublin will participate in Tri-Valley Manufacturing Day festivities, in collaboration with local educational institutions, participating manufacturing businesses, and the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton. The event features facility tours and presentations at Tri-Valley manufacturers including AMP Printing in Dublin, as well as firms from Livermore and Pleasanton.

    Join us for an afternoon of swing and big band music! Nightlife Big Band is a 16-piece swing band organized by a number of enthusiasts in 1974. Nightlife has performed throughout the Bay Area, including performances at Livermore Arts Festivals and the Alameda County Fair. This performance is funded by Friends of the Dublin Library.

    Brace yourself for an evening of spooky fun. Take a flashlight tour through the Dublin Historic Cemetery, where Dublin’s buried past comes alive. Hear haunting stories of ghosts thought to be lurking in Dublin, including news of recent sightings. Watch an old, black-and-white horror movie projected onto the Hay Barn. See ghostly images of long dead pioneers in Old St. Raymond Church, and peek inside the parlor of the Kolb House. Fortify yourself with popcorn and hot cider and stock up handmade gifts for your favorite trick-or-treaters. Event is recommended for ages 8 and up. *Cemetery tours departing at 9:00 p.m. and after are reserved for older teens and adults only. Space is limited. This event will sell out.   1. Prescription Drug Collection and Document Shredding Event

    October 22, 2016, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Dublin Civic Center

    Dublin Police Services will be participating, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration, in this year’s national prescription drug “Take-Back Initiative.” The goal of the event is to collect potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction. This is a free and anonymous collection event. Dublin Police Officers will collect tablets, capsules, and all other solid dosage forms of prescription medications, no questions asked. Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not be accepted. City of Dublin residents are also welcome and encouraged to bring any type of documents containing personal or sensitive information to be professionally shredded on-site. The maximum drop-off is four boxes. Residents participating in the shredding event must provide a valid I.D. with a Dublin address.
