    October is Family History Month and for the first three Saturdays of the month, volunteers from the Livermore-Amador Genealogical Society (L-AGS) will be available at the Dublin Library to help you start your family history research. Drop in any time between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM to meet with an expert. Bring whatever information you have regarding the city, town, or area where your grandparents lived. Bring a USB drive to save any found documents.

  3. Axis Community Health at the Dublin Library

    Axis Community Health is a community health center that provides medical care, mental health counseling, and addiction counseling services for everyone in the community through their clinics located in Pleasanton and Livermore. They serve low-income clients who have no other access to health care. A representative from Axis will be at the Dublin Library on the first and third Monday of every month, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, offering information and assistance on Covered California, open enrollment, and Medi-Cal.

She will be showcasing Heritage Quest, World Vital Records, Ellis Island Records, and local history records at the Dublin Library. This program takes place in the Library Program Room.

  6. Knit One, Purl Two: A Knitting Group for Adults

    Dublin Library's monthly knitting circle is open to all levels. Beginning knitters should bring your own needles. Bring a current project to show off or an abandoned or difficult project. This is not a knitting class, but there are usually more experienced knitters available for help and advice.

    Have a new cell phone/camera/tablet and have questions about its set-up or functions? Need help downloading e-books to an e-reader? Bring in your device (and any manuals that go along with them) and a friendly teen tech will work with you to answer basic questions. Other electronic devices and questions (such as e-mail set-up, social media, etc.) are welcome, as well.

  1. Dublin Schools: 1915, 1950, and Today

    This new exhibit weaves stories told by teachers, administrators, and students, with new research that sheds light on Dublin and how it has grown and maintained traditions in the classroom. You'll discover how each Dublin school got its name, and you'll find memorabilia from the schools, including yearbooks, varsity jackets, and class projects from long ago. There will be a large interactive map with schoolhouses, a chalkboard timeline, and classrooms from 1915 and 1950. A slideshow overhead show the faces of Murray students from 1870 onward. Research area will provide visitors with materials to read and peruse.

  2. Harvest Fair

    Celebrate the bountiful harvest with lively bluegrass music and seasonal specialties—apple and pumpkin pie, and caramel apples. Take a tractor-drawn hay wagon ride, pan for gold, or make a corn husk doll to take home. Try your hand at turn-of-the-century tasks like scrubbing laundry on a washboard, churning butter and making apple pie from scratch.

  3. Ghosts of Dublin

    Brace yourself for a shocking glimpse into Dublin’s past, as author-historian Rita Szollos shares pictures and stories of local people and places. Though her “ghosts” aren’t likely to haunt your nightmares, we guarantee you’ll never look at Dublin the same way again. Fortify yourself with a cup of hot cider. Then follow the lighted path to the Kolb House to peek inside the family parlor on a dark and spooky fall evening. Or, if you dare, venture into the cemetery for a flashlight tour!
