Bike to Work Day 2015
Thursday, May 15, 2015 marked the 21st year of Bike to Work Day. Over 580 Tri-Valley cyclists participated in the annual event by visiting the two “Energizer Stations” set up at both Dublin/Pleasanton BART stations. Staff from the Cities of Dublin and Pleasanton, Alameda County Transportation Commission, as well as Hacienda, and REI Dublin hosted the stations offering cyclists refreshments, t-shirts, and bags filled with giveaways and coupons from local sponsors. Technicians from Dublin Cyclery were also on hand to offer bike tune ups. Dublin Councilmember Don Biddle, Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne and Councilmember Jerry Pentin, as well as Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty greeted cyclists and distributed bags and t-shirts.
