The City of Dublin's Military Banner Program, now in its second year, honors local veterans and active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces. Eleven local heroes are honored with this year. Banners will be on display now through Veterans Day 2019.
The banners, sponsored by community members, are located along Dougherty Road between Scarlett Drive and Amador Valley Boulevard. Residents and visitors are encouraged to pick up a “walking tour” brochure inside the Dublin Camp Parks Military History Center and then enjoy a one-mile walk to view the banners.
The Dublin Camp Parks Military History Center is located at the Camp Parks Visitor Center, just outside the military base's Main Gate on Dougherty Road. The History Center is open daily, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
