New Phase of Dublin Boulevard Road Widening Project Now Underway

The City of Dublin's work to widen a stretch of Dublin Boulevard from Dublin Court to Sierra Court has moved into a new phase.  Due to high-traffic volumes on Dublin Boulevard, the work will continue to be done during the nighttime hours, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., to minimize impacts.  No closures of Dublin Boulevard are expected.

This third phase of construction includes expanding the road from two to three lanes of traffic; construction of Class 2 bike lanes and upgrading traffic signals for bicyclist detection; asphalt surfacing; streetscape improvements; and installation of new median islands, curb and gutters, landscaping, and driveway and sidewalk for better accessibility.  Previous phases included Dublin San Ramon Services District's replacement and relocation of an underground sewer lift station, and the moving of utilities along this stretch of Dublin Boulevard underground.  The project is expected to be complete in Summer 2019.
