Seminars are led by a panel of experienced experts who will provide several real-world examples, participate in a lively questions and answer session and stay afterwards to speak with attendees one-on-one if time permits.

    We Can Build, We Can Fight: The U.S. Navy Seabees in WWII Dublin: In January of 1943, 150 men enlisted in the U.S. Navy arrived in Dublin, California. Their mission: to build Camp Parks, a Replacement and Recuperation Center, that would service the Navy's Construction Battalions deployed in the Pacific Theater. We Build, We Fight features historical documents and artifacts from the recently acquired Camp Parks Collection. Come explore the significance of Dublin's very own naval base through original uniforms, first person narratives and historical photographs. Discover who the Seabees were, why their motto was "Can do!" and what they did while on base in Dublin.

  1. Summer Chill Zone: an Enrichment Program for Children, 7 to 10 Years Old

    June 26, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Dublin Library Program Room

    The Summer Chill Zone is designed to help children keep up their school skills over the summer with a variety of fun enrichment activities. The program will run every Tuesday and Thursday from June 26 - August 2. Open to children ages 7 - 10. Each child must have a permission slip signed by a parent at their first visit. For their safety, children will sign in when they arrive and must be signed out and picked up by their parent or guardian promptly at 3:00 PM. This program is funded by The Friends of the Dublin Library.
