Creek Cleanup Day

Saturday, September 8, 2018
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Register today to help clean up creeks in the City of Dublin. Click here to secure your spot!  Zone 7 and the City of Dublin require a waiver from all participants, please download and sign the waiver and bring it with you to the Cleanup. Extra blank waivers will be on hand the day of the event.

Volunteers should meet at 9:00 a.m. at the basketball courts at Emerald Glen Park (along Gleason Drive) for instructions and a light breakfast before heading out to one of four creeks.  Participants can return to Emerald Glen Park at noon for a pizza lunch.

Creek embankments can be steep and slippery, for safety reasons, children under 15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Here are some tips to help make your Creek Cleanup Volunteer Day a success:
1. Bring a copy of your signed volunteer waiver: http://dublin.ca.gov/documentcenter/view/11967
2. Bring a water bottle.
3. Wear close-toed shoes, long pants, and a hat.
4. Bring your own work gloves, however latex gloves will be available for all volunteers.
5. Don’t forget sunscreen!

Since 1985, in conjunction with California Coastal Cleanup Day, over 1,300,000 Californians have participated in removing 21 million pounds of trash and recyclables from our beaches, lakes, and waterways.  We hope you will join us for Dublin’s Creek Cleanup Day!

Please reach out to environmental services if you have specific questions or concerns at es@dublin.ca.gov or 925-833-6600.
