2015 National Bike Month
May is National Bike Month, and throughout Dublin, residents are taking advantage of the bike trails, programs, and events! Below is a list of programs and events in Dublin, free to residents and non-residents.

Bike to Work Day 2015
Thursday, May 15, 2015, marked the 21st year of Bike to Work Day. Over 580 Tri-Valley cyclists participated in the annual event by visiting the 2 “Energizer Stations” set up at both Dublin/Pleasanton BART stations. Staff from the Cities of Dublin and Pleasanton, Alameda County Transportation Commission, as well as Hacienda, and REI Dublin hosted the stations offering cyclists refreshments, t-shirts, and bags filled with giveaways and coupons from local sponsors. Technicians from Dublin Cyclery were also on hand to offer bike tune ups. Dublin Councilmember Don Biddle, Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne and Councilmember Jerry Pentin, as well as Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty greeted cyclists and distributed bags and t-shirts. What's Happening in Dublin:
May 1 - 31 | Local Raffle
Participants at each of the Dublin and Pleasanton bike events surrounding National Bike Month are eligible to enter a local raffle for one of the many prizes donated by local sponsors. No limit per cyclist!

Bike Month Events:
April 18 | Adult Bike Safety Class - Urban Cycling 101
This 2 hour class will teach adults (ages 13 and over) basic rules of the road, how to equip your bicycle, fit your helmet, avoid bike theft, ride after dark and avoid common crashes. Registration required at Bike East Bay website.

Postponed | Family Cycling Workshop
This workshop has been postponed to a later date. Stay tuned for an update!

May 14 | Bike to Work Day
Thousands of other Bay Area residents will commute via bike on this annual 1-day event, stopping by Energizer Stations that will offer giveaways, refreshments, and encouragement to commuting cyclists.

May 21 | Bike to the Market
Visit the Dublin Farmer's Market at Emerald Glen Park on your bike between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on this day to receive $5 in "carrot cash" to use at the Market.

May 30 | Flat Tire Repair Clinic
Bike repair specialists from Dublin Cyclery will be on hand to provide a free bike check-up and to demonstrate basic repairs for your bike. The clinic will be held at the crossroads of the Iron Horse Trail and the Alamo Canal Creek Trail from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

May 31 | Community Bike Ride
Join in on a fun local bike ride for all skill levels through the Cities of Dublin and Pleasanton led by Mike's Bikes of Pleasanton. Riders should meet at Mike's Bikes located at 6754 Bernal Avenue in the Pleasanton Gateway Center at 9:30 a.m. to get checked in and enjoy refreshments. The ride will being at 10 a.m. and is planned for about 2 hours, so be sure to bring water to stay hydrated. Please sign the online waiver on Mike's Bikes website and RSVP by May 29 to:
