2018 Dublin Pride Week took place Saturday, April 28, 2018 - Saturday, May 5, 2018. Dublin Pride is an annual event that promotes a positive image for the City of Dublin. The events encourage people to work to improve our world through environmental awareness and volunteerism.
Volunteer Day and Food Drive
Thank you to the 500 volunteers who came out on Saturday, April 28 to help in the community! Residents and guests helped clean up our creeks and parks, volunteered at schools and senior residences, and much more! Local food banks also benefited from the generous donations of food collected during the Dublin Pride Food Drive.
Poster and Essay Contest
The annual Dublin Pride Week Poster and Essay Contest is open to all K-12 students in Dublin. This contest is a project of the Dublin Pride Week Committee and the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) Dublin/San Ramon chapter. This year the theme was "Every Action Counts." The prompt for the essay and poster contest was "Please explain how every action you take to help in your community or to reduce your impact on the environment matters." All Dublin students were encouraged to participate.
If you have an idea for a project for the next Dublin Pride Week or for more information, please contact the City of Dublin's Public Works Department by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 925-833-6630.
