Dublin Pride is an annual event that promotes a positive image for the City of Dublin. The events encourage people to work to improve our world through environmental awareness and volunteerism.
New this year: "Nature in Our Backyard" Photography Contest
Submit your creek, wildlife, and natural park photographs taken in Dublin! Top four winners will receive a gift certificate and a metal print of their photograph. Learn more here.
Saturday, April 27, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Volunteers will meet at the Emerald Glen Park basketball courts at 8:00 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help with senior assistance, school and park beautification, creek clean-ups, and non-profit support projects. Individuals, families, and community groups are all encouraged to register. Students with volunteer requirements can use this event to meet some of their hour requirements. Registration is required, please register here.

Food will be collected at Volunteer Day and at both Safeway grocery stores in Dublin. Check back for store specifics closer to the event. The donations will be presented to food banks that service the Dublin community, including the Children’s Emergency Food Bank.

The Volunteer Fair will occur after the Volunteer Day events are over. Meet at the Emerald Glen Park basketball courts to learn more about year-round volunteer opportunities and environmental groups in the Tri-Valley.
Drug Take-back, E-Waste Recycling, Document Shredding
Saturday, April 27, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - 100 Civic Plaza
Drug Take-back: Bring unwanted or expired medications for safe disposal. No questions asked.
- Acceptable: capsules, pills, any solid forms of prescription medication.
- Not Acceptable: syringes, liquids, creams, injectables.
Document Shredding: City of Dublin residents may bring any type of documents containing personal or sensitive information to be professionally shredded on-site. (maximum of four boxes).
E-Waste: Safely recycle your old electronics including computers, printers, smart phones, TV's, DVD players, VCRs, and old gaming systems. Please note: batteries are no longer accepted for this event.

One-stop shop to get help on reducing your residential energy use, for free! Learn more about EBCE, solar options, energy-efficiency upgrades and rebates, and more. Join us at 11:00 a.m. for a quick talk about how state energy policy and the increase in solar will affect your energy bill starting in 2020 and how to prepare to avoid unexpected, large bills.

Lawn to Garden Party
Sunday, May 5, 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - 7891 Jade Circle, Dublin
Not like any other lawn party – this one gives you an opportunity to help convert a lawn into a garden using sheet mulch, all in one day! StopWaste staff, Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscape Professionals, and sheet mulch educators will all be on hand to provide guidance. Poster and Essay Contest
The annual Dublin Pride Week Poster and Essay Contest is open to all K-12 students in Dublin. This contest is a project of the Dublin Pride Week Committee and the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) Dublin/San Ramon chapter. All Dublin students are encouraged to participate. This year’s theme is “Dublin Makes a Difference.”
